Mix 2 cups flour, 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract together with a fork or pastry blender, pat into greased and floured 9x13” pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
In same mixing bowl (save on dishes), mix together the cream cheese , 1/2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Pour this over the crust and put back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting.
Cream together 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 1/2 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Spread over cooled bars. Top with oodles of sliced almonds.
